Conditions of Booking

  1. Linen. All beds have underblankets, pillows with underslips and duvets with cover. Bed linen is not provided but is available on request at time of booking at a charge of £8.00 per week per bed, or full linen which includes towels and tea towels at £12.50 per head per week. Tenants are asked to use two sheets and two pillowcases.

  2. Children. A cot and high chair are available upon request when booking. Cot linen is not provided.


  3. Number of Occupants. No accommodation may be occupied by more than the maximum number stated against each unit without prior agreement, except for children in cots as agreed at the time of reservation.

  4. Care of Accommodation. The tenant agrees to leave the property and surroundings in a clean and tidy condition ready for next occupants with all refuse disposed of in the sacks provided.


  5. Pets. 1 dog is free, 2nd dog £15. House-trained dogs only are welcome provided they are well behaved as there is livestock all around. Tenants are asked not to allow their dogs on the furniture and to bring dogs' beds. 2 dogs per cottage. Any more only by prior arrangement.

  6. Provisions. These can be got in Portpatrick at most hours of the day. Orders may be made in advance to Mace, 39 Main Street, Portpatrick, Tel: (01776) 810212, and will be delivered for your arrival.

  7. Duration of Bookings. Holiday cottage rentals are per week from 2.00pm Saturday to 10.00am the following Saturday. Gas is included where applicable, and a starter pack of logs and coal. Electricity is an extra and meters are read at entry and exit. Coal and logs may be bought on site by the bag. Part week bookings are taken out of season only.


  8. Breakages. Any breakages or damages to equipment or furnishings must be reported to the owners and paid for if required by the owners before departure.


  9. Deposits. A deposit of one third of the whole is required upon booking. The balance is due without further reminder at least 8 weeks before occupation. In the event of cancellation, deposit and balance are non-returnable. We strongly recommend that you effect cancellation insurance.


  10. Disclaimer. Dunskey Estates will not accept any third party liability.

Short Breaks available from January - 24 May - Charged pro-rata per day plus 1 day.
There are variable reductions for two people only occupying a cottage at certain times. Just ask.
